America's greatest problem: Its debt-money system!

The Corrupt Federal Reserve Corporation. The Government will own nothing. The people will own nothing. The Bankers will own everything. By Melvin Sickler

If you would ask any American citizen what the Federal Reserve is, he probably would tell you that it is a government agency that creates all of the money to run the United States. This unfortunately, is the misconception most American have: that the Federal Reserve is a government agency, probably because the word "Federal" is used in its name. And this is exactly what the Bankers want: ignorance among the population!

In the next few paragraphs, I am going to simply explain what the Federal Reserve is really all about, and how it is being used to control the United States. A good resource book that I am using is entitled "Billions for the Bankers - Debts for the people" by Sheldon Emry.

* * * A private corporation
The first thing that must be understood is that the Federal Reserve Corporation is not a government agency, as most people think. It is a private corporation controlled by the Bankers, and therefore it is operated for the financial gain of the Bankers over the people, rather than for the good of the people.

When our Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution of the United States back in the 1700's, they specifically stated in Article 1 of this Constitution:

Congress shall have the Power to Coin Money and Regulate the Value Thereof.

It was the wish of the Founding Fathers that the power to create and control the money be in the hands of the Federal Congress, and not in the hands of private Bankers who could charge enormous amounts of interest, and who could actually then control the country by controlling the money. They understood the tricks of the Bankers, for what did Mayer Anselm Rothschild, the great European Banker, once say: "Permit me to ussue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws..." It was their belief that all citizens should share in the profits of its creation, not just private Bankers, and therefore the national Government must be the only creator of money.

So what happened! For several years after the Constitution was signed, the money in the country was handled both legally and illegally, the Bankers having devised all kinds of tricks to try to take control of the nation's money.

The Federal Reserve Act
But the final blow came in 1913, on Christmas Eve, when the Congress passed the Federal Reserve Act, which officially took the power to create the money to run United States away from the Congress, and gave it over to private Bankers, who called themselves the Federal Reserve Corporation. But note: they are private Bankers.

The passage of this Federal Reserve Act authorized the establishment of a Federal Reserve Corporation, with a Board of Directors (The Federal Reserve Board) to run it. And the United States was divided into 12 Federal Reserve Districts.

This new law completely removed from the Congress the right to create money or to have any control over its creation, and gave this function over to the Federal Reserve Corporation. The Fed printed "Federal Reserve Notes", which are still accepted today as money among the citizens of the country.

But we have to understand that these Federal Reserve Notes, used as money in the country, cannot be considered as being constitutional money. Why, you ask? Because the Congress went against the Constitution of the United States when it passed this Federal Reserve Act, for it specifically states that Congress, and only Congress shall have the power to coin and regulate the money of the country.

Some might ask: "What does it matter if Congress or private Bankers create the money? It is accepted by the people just the same as a medium of exchange with which to perform business transactions".

Yes, the Federal Reserve Notes are accepted as a medium of exchange by the people of the United States. But this is a debt-money, being interest is charged on every dollar that is created, but the interest is not created!, Let me give an example to illustrate this point.

To obtain the money
Let us say that the Federal Government needs $1,000,000,000 ($1 billion) more, after it collects the taxes, to continue financing its projects. Since it does not have the money, and Congress has given away its authority to create it, the Government must go to the Federal Reserve, which is now in charge of creating the money for the country. But the Federal Reserve does not just give its money away! The Bankers are willing to deliver $1 billion in money or credit to the Federal Government only in exchange for the Government's agreement to pay it back - with interest! The Congress then authorizes the Treasury Department to print $1 billion in U.S. bonds, which are then delivered to the Federal Reserve Bankers.

The Federal Reserve then pays the cost of printing the $1 billion (about $1,000), and makes the exchange. The Government then used the money to pay its obligations.

Now, what are the results of this transaction! The $1 billion in Government bills is paid, but the Government has now indebted the people to the Bankers for $1 billion, on which the people must pay interest! And, of course, the interest is not created!.

Thousands upon thousands of such transactions have taken place since 1913, so by now the United States Government is indebted to the Bankers for $5,000,000,000,000, ($5 trillion), on which the people pay over $400 billion a year in interest alone, with no hope of every paying off the principal. Because of the interest charged on the money created, the borrower must always pay back more than he borrowed, so the Bankers will always get back more than they lend.

And, to top it all, on this $1 billion that the Federal Reserve received in bonds from this transaction, it is legally allowed to create another $15 billion in new credit to lend to states, municipalities, businesses, and individuals. Added to the original $1 billion, they could have $16 billion of created credit out in loans paying them interest, with their only cost being the $1,000 they spent for printing the original $1 billion lent to the Government. Is it diabolical? You bet it is!

"The President of the United States now becomes the absolute dictator of all the finances of the country. He appoints a controlling board of seven men, all of whom belong to his political party, even though it is a minority. The Secretary of the Treasury is to rule supreme whenever there is a difference of opinion between himself and the Federal Reserve Board. AND, only one member of the Board is to pass out of office while the President is in office."

By now you must surely agree that the only real solution to solve our financial problems is to put pressure on the Government to repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and to demand that Congress again be allowed to create and control the money of the nation, issuing interest and debt-free "United States Notes" as the legal currency. John F. Kennedy had begun to do this very thing just before he was assassinated!

What would the UN think if it took a moment and look at the Big Bad US of A....and the humanitarian issuses that we have on our own soil? Probable they would say that we ourselves need to be liberated ....

It is not about the past, or you or I; it is about the future: your kids and my kids working together, playing together, living in the same community together, and making every effort to build better communities.

Could you imagine all the people living life in peace? You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday everyone else will join us, and the world will live as one.

I know the title of this post sounds like a title of a soap opera..that exactly what we have as our representation in Greensboro a soap opera. I'm going to break down and explain our government in it's simplest form..

At the city council meeting on 041908 the deception was that the council members were at odds against each other on decision that broke along racial lines. I personally find this hard to digest.. What better way to divide your people other than racially. We have seen the method of divide and conquer time and time again. While in the background it's all good, lets continue to bamboozle them out of those tax dollars..

The reality is that five people lost their lives on Nov 3, 1979. Here we are in 2005 and we are still fighting our demons here in Greensboro. Yes we should bring closeure to that day so we can make an effort to go foward, without skeletons in our closet. We not only should take a look at that day , but also take a momment and look at what is going on today. We have our kids dieing in the streets, our men and women dieing in Iraq, HIV and Aids are destroying our coumities, the cost of inflation does not match our wages, the unemployment rate is at all time high,we have babies having babies, a large present of our black males are incarcerated, our black kids are being expelled from schools in records numbers, we have illegal drugs all over the place...I could go on and on, however I don't have enough time..While all of this is going on our government is getting paid in full. I 'm aware the our city council elections are coming up in Nov 2005, This is my advice to you get involved in the political process get out and vote in order to make the changes that are much needed..Don't allow the media to control your minds. Corporate Media's Threat to Democracy.

GREENSBORO Police identified the body of a man found on a street early this morning as 19-year-old Greensboro resident Shawn Eric McNeill.

McNeill's body was found in front of a home at 113 Drewsbury Drive, according to Greensboro police.

How many more bodies are going to have to be found before someone say that we have some major concerns here in Greensboro that need to be addressed...This was a kid..a young black males life that was lost today..When is it going to end ??? When it happens in your neighbourhood? When it happens to your son or daughter?...One body is too many, black or white.....

The US Department of Justice, too, is getting involved. Last week, it announced that it's sending 15 federal "impact teams" to help local police departments curb violent crime in cities like Greensboro, N.C. USA Society & Culture

The 6-3 vote was not good or can we look at it as the 6-3 Image? I was very disapointed in our City Councils decision that was made tonight on the TRC... This really displayed the cities true colors tonight! I do not feel that the City Council is afraid of the truth of what happen 26 years ago, because we already know what happen was wrong on both parties involved. I feel that our great city of Greensboro is afraid that the truth will come out about what's going on today in Greensboro... A 6-3 vote on a important issue like the TRC doesn't look good on Greensboros' behalf! I have made a voice post on my site please take a moment to listen to it. Amnesty Report Slams Taser, Cites 103 Related Deaths

There were 103 Taser stun gun-related deaths in the United States and Canada between June 2001 and March 2005, according to an Amnesty International report released Friday.

In the first three months of this year, there were 13 Taser-related deaths — compared with six during the same period last year, the report said.

The stun guns have been touted as less lethal than other ways of subduing combative people in high-risk situations, but Tasers have come under increasing scrutiny as a number of deaths have been blamed, at least partially, on the devices.

Cardinal Francis Arinzeis is the highest ranking Black in the inner sanctum of the Vatican, the home of the Roman Catholic Church. Many say, he's in line for consideration to become Pope. He does not and never encourages the projection of the possibility of his succeeding the current Pope, John Paul II. In fact, he frowns at it.

Cardinal Francis Arinze, the unique and distinctly cerebral personality appeared on the cover page of the USAfrica The Newspaper, dated April 14, 1999 (Vol. 6#4).

Essentially, I attempt ed to capture and distil the fact that he embodies the hopes and endurance of a people, a community, a faith and the inter-connectedness of humankind. He celebrated his Easter weekend with members of the African community in the U.S, and principally members of the Roman Catholic faith.

As the facilitator of inter-religious dialogue, he has seen and interacted with differing religionists who, to varying degrees, embody zealotry and reason, lucidity of thought and rock-ribbed dogmatisms. He also did this time in Houston, discussing with members of other faiths.

By being a major voice for Roman Catholicism in Africa, he has enriched the goals of the Vatican to win more souls to that unique section of the Christian community.

Multiple anonymous malicious reports have been made against my family since July 2004. On November 23 my daughter was forced from my keep and placed in the hands of substantiated child abusers. I have been defending my family on multiple fronts. The issues are political, prejudicial, judicial and familial. My family is being held hostage, at the mercy of DSS and the law violated by my victimizers. In representing myself I have built a case against the department and their cohorts, prepared all paralegal work and defended myself in previous hearings. A divide so extreme, that in order to bridge it, we must speak openly, freely, without judgment and work together. It is imperative that we take this opportunity to consider the issues of particular interest to African Americans and to establish a national plan of action to address them. No longer can we sit back and expect one political party, one segment of the population or one religious denomination to speak for us or to act on our behalf. It is our responsibility as an entire community to no longer be left behind politically, socially, or economically and to bridge the economic and social divides ourselves, by encouraging a conversation and a commitment that will inevitably benefit all Americans.

The panel will provide a presentation illustrating actual and potential failures of voting technology in North Carolina, followed by questions and answers. Panelists will also discuss the Public Confidence in Elections Bill, which is now before the North Carolina General Assembly. With all of the Economic, Poverty, Social, and Racism issues going on in the world today, how many MEN do you think are out in the there in the world with this mind-set ?

From my point of view it doesn't look good. I heard on the news that the unemployment rate has decreased , Who sent in those stats ? The gas prices have went out the roof $2.00 + a gallon, this is madness. We have our troops dieing over an unjust war. Our governmental body is on a spending spree. While they assume that there's no one watching the store !

There has been bomb threats on Greensboros' Piedmont Triad International Airport on Thursday and Friday , On Friday a threat ws made against the New and Record, on Thursday 1,100 employees were evacuated from Jefferson- Piolt downtown office after a bomb threat was made against the company.

Where does it end ?

There are those who wouldn't even think about any of these things until it hits home.

Well it has begun to hit home because it is not only affecting the lower class it's affecting the middle class also. Welcome, how does it feel ? Not good ha. I know. I can feel your pain dog!

It is so much unjust going on here in America!! Where did the bad deal go down ?

More than five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.

But one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. And so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition. In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable Rights" of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."

What about our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, when will we be liberated ? (the black man), however we can not blame it all on the white man, we have to place some of blame on the embarrassing fact of history, is that the Europeans did not have to use any force to obtain these slaves. The slaves were "sold" by their black owners. There was no need for the slave raiders to risk their lives or venture into the jungles of Africa , they simply purchased the people from African chiefs and Muslim slave traders at the coast.

However, while the slave trade and slavery itself was always criticized vigorously in Britain and America, no comparable criticism was evident in the Muslim Middle East or amongst the African tribes which sold their own people, and neighboring tribes, into slavery. Almost all of the African slaves transported across the Atlantic were captured and sold by African rulers and merchants.

Many chiefs found it more profitable to sell their enemies, criminals and debtors than to kill or imprison them. Many were weaker neighboring tribes conquered for the express purpose of selling their people into slavery.

According to "The Slave Trade" by Hugh Thomas, approximately 4 million (35.4%) went to Portuguese controlled Brazil; 2,5 million (22.1%) to the Spanish nations of South and Central America; 2 million (17.7%) to the British West Indies (mostly Jamaica); 1,6 million (14.1%) to French West Indies; half a million (4.4%) to Dutch West Indies and half a million (4.4%) to North America

This is still a factor today here in America today in 2005 , we have African chiefs selling out there brothers and sisters. I look at these African chiefs as some of our black representatives of today, this is so sad but true. Maybe their heart and their consciousness will inform them that they done their people unjustly.

To my black brothers and sisters that’s representing the black communities, I forgive you all . The real question is do you forgive yourself, however I do have one question for you all (Click here!!!)

Children are wonderful creatures. Then they start growing up! In this world, maturing is dangerous. Parents have their hands full protecting children from the influences of the world. Still, even as children or students rebel, you can’t help loving them. You want the best for them. So off to school they go. You hope the teachers will teach them.

Recent news points out that children can be unsafe any where in the nation. The distance between violent people and their actions is ever shrinking. Our society appears not view persons as real entities. A society can not keep abusing people and not expect consequences. The solution is not more laws. Let us just try to be aware and kinder to those around us.

Yes, I expect different interest or focus groups to seize this tragic event to espouse their beliefs or desires. To the parents and children of this event, it is a hard time. I wish there was a reason for it. Hold tight to your faith, share your grief, and care for your loved ones. While all is dark and gloomy now, the sun will surely shine through one day! Hold on for the healing of that day.

Greensboro are we prepared for our troops return ? We all have been maxed out with things that pretains to our own little world , however we do still have our troops dieing everyday in Iraq.

They are going to be needing our help... when they return...

It is way past time to bring them home. Has every one took part in the preperation of our troops return ? We have to get Greensboro on point. I have faith that we will.

Hello Greensboro and to all my other readers thought the world Last week was a wild week for Greensboro!

To my man Lewis Byers over at the barbershopblog congratulations on making that decision on running for District 2 city counlelman. Bro. the leadership is much needed in that seat and many other seats though out our governmental body here in Greensboro and throughout the world.

Someone that is going to make that differences. I'm on your Team Bro. Chris, Chris and Twon let's rock and roll!

To folks that brought the donations to the barbershop thanks . Lawwna is taking donations up for the needy in the community, She needs more help give, give, give!!! We have more needy out here than you can imagine.

To Ed, Roch, Sue and Hog and the others, you all had a good turn out at the teah-in on Sat. Did an outstanding job on the class. However I would love to know how in the hell can you teach a class at the Revolution Mills and not even mention what the hell is going on the other end of the building with the VFW and the NAACP, what kind of trash is this. That was totally wrong!

My question to you guys still remains the same. What type of community are you trying to build ?

Billy, That first post was great for the Biglink, however as a Vet living here in North Carolina knowing that the VFW right here are giving free weblogs to all VFW member, Vet and their family members that would have been better post for the Troops than that BS that you posted on the biglink for the Vets. Why the city Reps. have not put forth that intestinal fortitude and say to the people that the City Reps. have been pimping the taxpayers, that the people and the city are not really in your best interest ?

It is all about you and how much money you can juice the taxpayer out of while there sleepwalking. Well I'm here to tell you, that is BS. I say not another dam dime in Greensboro be spent until we can have a complete audit of Greensboro N.C. from an outside source... That's right open all the books! I don't trust any of you and I'm not talking about the just the white Reps. I'm talking about the blacks Reps. also. I think that many of you are full of shit. I am going to call it like I see it! That's right bring on the truth and reconciliation so we can find out the truth and reconcile about what is going here in Greensboro not twenty five years ago, but what is going on right dam now. You dam right I'm PISSED. Do you all think that you can spend the taxpayers money on BS and say the hell with us ? This is your mess, you clean it up. Don't think for one moment that you are going to leave this BS for the this generation to clean-up. Not on my watch!!!!

We all have to figure out a way to turn our past into positive energy. We have to build strong communities together . To me it's not about a black thing nor a white thing. I feel that it is a humanity thing. For something that happen 26 year ago was then, we can to get pass this together. We can not have anymore bloodshed. I do not see a black man or a white man. I see a man.

It is not about the pass nor you or I, it is about the future your kids, my kids working together, playing together, living in the same community together, making every effort to build better communities.

Could you imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will live as one.

I support the Truth and Reconciliation Process, however it has to promote peace !

City Council vs Truth ?

It was really disappointing to be in the midst of a City Council meeting here in Greensboro today and witness a 5 to 4 decision to place the Greensboro Truth and Community Reconciliation Process on the agenda for April 19 , 2005.

The community has gladly endorsed the Truth and Reconciliation Process. This wound has plagued the Greensboro community for 26 years. You can't place a band-aid on a wound that deserves a tourniquet.

This is an issue that should have been taken care of tonight. The vote should have been unanimous that the city endorse the process.

There will always be men struggling to change, and there will always be those who are controlled by the past....Ernest J. Gaines

Hello Jerry:

Talent or skill is present within our community. The match up of that talent with the need for it does not go smoothly. We need more mentoring instead of teaching in our communities. Teaching can be performed without regard to the success of the student. Mentoring, in my opinion, can't be performed without success as a measure.

What I do in my life is mentor others. High school and college students want to know what I have done, what they can do, any useful advice as long as they can participate in it with me. My focus was on black students at first. Later I figured anyone who wanted to learn should have an opportunity to do so. So two people saw the need and formed Project Score. A program that teaches the SAT. I have done that for the last 22 years in Greensboro.

Our students have obtained scholarships to various colleges because of their SAT scores primarily and second their high school grade point averages. Grade point averages have no correlation to SAT scores in my experience with students.

What we learned:

We quickly found out that teaching the theory of math and English did not do too well!
Students need to be motivated.
Students need to see that they can be successful.
Mentors must respect and well as be respected by the students.
A student's weakness is not a negative but an opportunity.
To learn a student must work and perform.
Tests are forever present in life.
A students needs to be told that life is not fair!
The goal is to pass a test. Preferably the first time, if not, as many attempts that is necessary.
A test needs to be explained and strategies developed for it.
Practice must be done. Just listening is not enough.

So I evolved into teaching the test Saturday mornings here in Greensboro. I developed web sites for the old SAT test that taught math and English. With the new SAT in March the web sites are being revamped to reflect the new SAT. In another month or so I should be done adding practice tests to them.

We try for one on one involvement with our students. The web sites definitely made that possible. Motivation is handled on Saturdays. Funds come from grants and donations over the years. Obtaining students have not been much of a problem. Word of mouth does the job well. Our program has received awards from the City of Greensboro in the past. No, we have not ever been funded by local governments.

It would be nice to have a registry of mentors, skills, and organizations to go to in order to receive help. I still visit Greensboro high schools to give a two hour seminar on the SAT yearly. A lot of my students have graduated from college and drop me a note now and then.

I attended the Red Bull Wordclash.The Red Bull Wordclash is fast becoming one of the nation’s premier Street Poetry Competitions. Hosted by Monte Smith, the event was created by Smith and 33third.com co-founder Matthew Stibbe with help from Red Bull. The first event was in 2002 and since then it has grown, grown, grown! 2005 is slated to be the best event yet with a large number of poets coming in from around the country to battle for the 2005 title. There are real problems here in the United States, and it not just a black thing, it’s an every American thing; the government seems not to even have any concerns about it. The racial, economic, and social injustice that plagues America is genocide.I am going to let you know how it is when you feel like you are backed into a corner; the average person is going to come out fighting with rage. I can only imagine how many Americans feel the same way. This surely can not be healthy. It’s only a matter of time before something happens. I can feel the tension here in Greensboro N.C. We have elected and placed trust into individuals to represent us; however it seems that we are not being represented. There’s irrepressible spending, racial tension, economic injustice... I do feel that many of the citizens are backed into that corner. It’s just nasty. We are in a war zone right here in Greensboro NC. We as the people, the citizens, have to get up off of the couch and get involved with the decision making process. The time is now; we have to take back control. I’m not concerned about myself, it is the future that really concerns me, and it’s all about the kids.
I met a good man on Monday by the name of Monte Smith who is another jewel. He understands the movement and has the vision and it was good to talk to him yesterday. Monte continues with the path that you are on. Much luv bro. To everyone that reads my post take a moment and reflect on what’s going on and what is about to manifest. Be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem. We together can make that change.

Economic Injustice, Poverty, and Racism: We Can Make A Difference!

We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, hereby rededicate ourselves to the pursuit of economic justice, an end to racism, and an end to poverty. We recognize that racism is a major contributor toward economic injustice. We pledge ourselves to strive to understand how racism and classism perpetuate poverty and to work for the systemic changes needed to promote a more just economy and compassionate society. Together, we can make a difference.

Economic injustice persists in spite of the longest period of economic prosperity in our history. The gap between the rich and the poor continues to widen. Tens of millions, particularly children, women, and the elderly live in poverty, a disproportionate share of whom are ethnic and racial minorities.

Working for a just society is central to our Unitarian Universalist faith. An economically just society is one in which 1) government and private institutions promote the common economic good and are held accountable; 2) all people have equal opportunity to care for themselves and their families; and 3) individuals take responsibility for the effects of their actions on their own and others' lives. Conversely, racism encourages people to perpetuate a system of privileges and economic rewards that opens the door of opportunity much wider for some than for others. This should not be tolerated.

We must look both inward and outward as we organize ourselves for action within our congregations and beyond. Looking inward, the 1997 General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association urged Unitarian Universalists to examine carefully our own conscious and unconscious racism and to work toward our transformation to an anti-racist, multi-cultural institution. The Unitarian Universalist community has only begun its soul-searching toward the goal of becoming more inclusive and affirming. We acknowledge the lack of racial and economic diversity within most of our congregations. However, having diverse congregations is not the only way to understand injustice in our society. Looking outward, our 1997 General Assembly also called upon Unitarian Universalists to work for a more just economic community. We can learn much and accomplish much by joining and creating community organizations in which diverse groups of people work together on economic justice issues, hold community leaders accountable, and monitor those leaders' efforts toward achieving systemic improvements. Our work for economic justice must include support for

fair wages and benefits;
access to adequate housing, social services, child care, adult daycare, education, health care, legal services, financial services, and transportation;
the removal of environmental and occupational hazards that disproportionately affect low-income people;
respect for treaty rights of First Nations and Native American Tribes;
government and corporate policies that promote economic investment in the urban core and rural communities;
a more equitable criminal justice system;
tax systems that prevent affluent individuals and corporations from sheltering assets and income at the expense of those less privileged; and o campaign reforms that ensure equal access to the electoral process regardless of wealth.

As Unitarian Universalists, we have a religious and moral obligation to challenge complacency in ourselves and in our communities. We commit to fighting injustice wherever we find it. We acknowledge that this may disturb our own comfort and require us to broaden our interest to include the greater good of an economically just and compassionate community. We will learn much as we do this work.

Historically, Unitarians and Universalists have often been in the forefront of social reform. Our history teaches that social change does not come easily and is not without risk. Nevertheless, at the beginning of this new century, let us recommit to justice, equity, and compassion in human relations. Let us embrace our responsibility to help create a more just world. Let us continue to reflect and organize for action within our congregations and beyond our doors. Let us not concede that economic injustice, poverty, and racism are tolerable.

IRAQI ORDER 81...and they said that we were there to bring freedom
and liberty...it is time to tell the troops the truth How did this
happen? While few of us were paying attention, the Coalition
Provisional Authority, representing the government of the United
States, imposed a set of 100 orders on Iraq. A careful examination
of these orders could lead to the conclusion that the war is being
waged to enrich corporations at the expense of the ordinary

citizens. Many of these orders take freedom and liberty away from
the people of Iraq. The orders also have a profound effect on us.

Iraqi Order 81 is of special interest because it goes a long way in
affecting every living being on the planet. This order prohibits
Iraqi farmers from using the methods of agriculture that they have
used for centuries. The common worldwide practice of saving heirloom
seeds from one year to the next is now illegal in Iraq. Order 81
wages war on Iraqi farmers. They have lost the freedom and liberty
to choose their own methods of agriculture.

As you now know, the industrial revolution of the 19th Century was a setback for hemp in world commerce, due to the lack of mechanized harvesting and breaking technology needed for mass production. In 1938, magazines such as Popular Mechanics, and Mechanical Engineering introduced a new generation of investors to fully operational hemp decorticating devices; bringing us to this next bit of history. Because of this machine, both indicated that hemp would soon be America's number-one crop!

Few commercial interests ever make the kind of dramatic and ongoing progress achieved by the Hemp Industry. In spite of difficult and unique obstacles, this industry has positioned itself over the past decade to once again become a major global economic force in the 21st century

The Hemp Industries Association (HIA) is at the forefront of the drive for fair and equal treatment of Industrial Hemp and the instigation of a level playing field on which to compete with other natural resources and synthetics. The HIA seeks changes in government policies to encourage global production of Hemp as a raw material for industry.

Mary White Ovington (NAACP)

Mary White Ovington was born in Brooklyn on 11th April, 1865. Members of the Unitarian Church, her parents were supporters of women's rights and had been involved in anti-slavery movement. Educated at Packer Collegiate Institute and Radcliffe College, Ovington became involved in the campaign for civil rights in 1890 after hearing Frederick Douglass speak in a Brooklyn church.

Ovington responded to the article by writing to Walling and at a meeting in New York they decided to form the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP). The first meeting of the organization was held on 12th February, 1909. Early members included Josephine Ruffin, Mary Talbert, Mary Church Terrell, Inez Milholland, Jane Addams, George Henry White, William Du Bois, Charles Edward Russell, John Dewey, Charles Darrow, Lincoln Steffens, Ray Stannard Baker, Fanny Garrison Villard, Oswald Garrison Villard and Ida Wells-Barnett.

In 1910 Ovington was appointed as executive secretary of the NAACP.

A full appreciation of the celebration of Black History Month requires a review and a reassessment of the social and academic climate that prevailed in the Western world, and especially in North America before 1926 when Black History Month was established.

It is important to recall that between 1619 and 1926, African Americans and other peoples of African descent were classified as a race that had not made any contribution to human civilization. Within the public and private sector, African Americans and other peoples of African descent were continually dehumanized and relegated to the position of non-citizens and often defined as fractions of humans. It is estimated that between 1890 and 1925, an African American was lynched every two and a half days.

African Americans were so dehumanized and their history so distorted in academia that "slavery, peonage, segretation and lynching" were considered justifiable conditions. In fact, Professor John Burgess, the founder of Columbia University graduate school of Political Science and an important figure in American scholarship defined the African race as "a race of men which has never created any civilization of any kind..."

I 'm here in Cone Hospitals. in Greensboro NC with my wife Kathy it nothing serious I hope... She has Chrohns I m going to have to do some research on Chrohns in the day and time that we are in it seems that we should have a cure for just about anything.

I noticed the hospital was packed Whats going on Greensboro ? A hospital and a funeral home are the last places that you would want see packed .... If these places are packed that means to me that we have some Major Health problems going on .

GREENSBORO -- City Council members often joke privately that per hour, they are some of the worst-paid employees of city government.

While the nine elected officials are technically part-time employees, they each log dozens of hours a week handling constituent calls, taking part in meetings and appearing at community events. For that work, council members are paid $9,500 a year for their time, with the two top elected officials, mayor and mayor pro tem getting a slightly bigger paycheck.

Greensboro may buy dilapidated St. James apartments

The history of St. James II is long, convoluted and fraught with failure. In 1993, the city made the $956,000 loan to the St. James Housing Board to rehabilitate the complex and rent it to poor people. St. James could repay the money monthly or all at once in January 2025.

The church board hired S&J Management Corp., owned by Guilford County Commissioner Melvin "Skip" Alston, to oversee the apartments.

By 2001, none of the money had been repaid. And a city auditor discovered the complex was more than a third vacant, operating at a $303,501 loss. An account reserved for repairs had $86 in it. The church board then gave control of the apartments to the Christian Counseling group, which ran a nonprofit that rehabilitates people with drug addictions.

GREENSBORO -- Three former employees of Project Homestead, including the chief financial officer of the now defunct low-cost housing nonprofit, have settled lawsuits against Homestead that accused the Rev. Michael King of pressuring them to have sex with him.

The three -- Randolph Mitchell, Robert Donnell Jr. and Mischell Sinclair -- agreed to halt legal proceedings and withdraw all claims against Project Homestead, King's estate and other parties named in the lawsuits.

In return, the three men agreed to share $20,000 to be paid by Nationwide and Allstate insurance companies, which represent Project Homestead.

The three filed separate lawsuits against King and Project Homestead in 2003.

Today was started off rocky however it ended being one of the best days in a while, My kids Brandon 15,Brittney 14, Brianna 10 and I took a road trip to Charlotte NC it gave me the chance to spend some QT with my kids thats what I have been missing , for me it brings balance in my life to spend time with my kids... Just got back in town .

Yes the weblog tools have been out for a while. With these tools in the hands of the creative ones the shy is the limit ....just wait and see...These tool are tools that I know would be of great use to to the rest of the world . These are some very powerful tools. To able to post my thoughts that could help the next person, makes me feel good inside. To have the ability to tell the story of something that going on in another part of the world from the way other bloggers see it ( the truth) These last couple of months have been like.. MAN.. I've heard I 've seen some of the terrible things that have been going on not only in Greensboro but around the world. I have never seen or heard of so much craziness from adults its just crazy. We all can feel it inside, we know whats going on . What about the ones that do not.. With the power of these tools everyone can stay connected and say or show what need to be seen and heard. Thats scary!!However it is the truth!! Things that could change the world by the tap of a button. Man that is powerful I 've had the opportunity to set-up free bogs in the community out of the barbershop , to see the eyes of the kids that knew what they had just gotten, which is the key to the future...With theses tools we have the chance to make changes, which are much needed. In our day and time we have to be able to work together and not talk bad about others in comments .. Thats why I love the shoutbox because you can not hide behind a wall... No Im not a judge, however I do know right from wrong. Its time for a change . Yes I'm a black blogger.. NAACP ,VFW member and a member of other organizations as well. That cares about the future of my family, the community ,the united states and the world . I volunteered to spend ten years of my life in the military so that some could have the comforts of not having to go to a voluntary military.. Its all good though I've gotten the opportunity to travel and see things in a different light.. So I know whats outside of Greensboro other than what the media say..Just like now..We cannot belittle some one that not as computer savvy as others ...there trying. Hell I make mistakes in my spelling however Im not going to allow that to hold me back.. It doesn't matter if you have a forth grade education or a PHD just bring it ..We only can build upon it. We can not allow our personal feeling to get in way of making the Greensboro blogging community as an example for the world to see how we can get along and set aside our deference to accomplish the mission. Greensboro lets not take our trash from 2004 with us into 2005 and beyond... These are some thoughts from a blog I read a blog today and its very fitting, I love what Savira said about Happy New Year..
